  I'm immensely pleased to witness Kenya Airways (KQ) making strides with its Ab Initio Pilots Training Programme, a significant achievement following a crucial legal victory at the High Court of Kenya. This legal battle aimed to halt this essential Programme and other foreign-based pilot training initiatives designed for Kenyan pilots. If KQ hadn't secured this win, the Programme might not be in operation today. Alongside my colleagues Benard Obonyo and Ian Kanja, I had the honor of representing KQ, Kenya's national flag carrier airline, in this pivotal legal matterThrough close collaboration with the Government of Kenya, our dedicated team worked tirelessly to secure the Programme's continuity. Our collective efforts successfully safeguarded the Programme's progression, enabling KQ to continue nurturing aspiring pilots, fostering aviation talent, and significantly contributing to the nation's aviation landscape.This achievement extends beyond a legal victory; it underscores the preservation of national interests. By safeguarding KQ's Programme, we championed broader national interests tied to aviation talent development. Our intervention not only preserved employment opportunities but also fortified the country's international competitiveness in the aviation sector.The advertisem*nt below underscores the significance of our collective dedication in sustaining this vital training initiative.
